WetlandCare Australia launches Hunter office
WetlandCare Australia recently appointed Louise Duff as our first Hunter Region Coordinator. Louise has a Bachelor of Applied Science in natural resource management and a Master Degree in public administration. Her career spans the commercial, local government and community sectors with roles in environmental education, natural resource management and community engagement. Louise is currently working on a range of projects including wetland field-days for Great Lakes Council and the Hawkesbury-Nepean CMA, and a 2-year shorebird protection program in the Hunter Estuary funded by the NSW Environmental Trust.
WetlandCare Australia extends our thanks to the Hunter Wetlands Centre Australia for providing office space for Louise. Co-locating the two organisations is already affording opportunities for partnership projects. To launch WetlandCare Australia in the Hunter, we have an exhibition of past winning artworks and photographs from our national World Wetland Day competition now showing at the Hunter Wetlands Centre.
