Starting In Your Backyard - Coffs Harbour Case Study
Starting in your Backyard is a community program developed by WetlandCare Australia to inspire community action towards sustainability. This project was a pilot for the Coffs Harbour area modelled from a previous Starting in your Backyard program successfully implemented on the far north coast.
Mangrove Awareness and Marine Debris Clean Up
WetlandCare Australia and the Burnett Mary Regional Group (BMRG) held a two part mangrove/plastics awareness workshop and Marine Debris Clean Up in the Town of 1770 on 19th and 20th April as part of Clean up Australia Day, World Wetland Day and the Regional Landcare facilitation project. Over 105kgs of litter was collected and over 500 cigarette butts were retreived!
