Wise Use of Wetlands
Forested wetlands, technically know as palustrine wetlands, are a very diverse type of ecosystem. They occur in a wide variety of locations across Ausralia from the arid centre of the continent to the mountains and the coasts. Wetlands are a precious resource, without them we would not live our lives in the same way. But this also means that we use our wetlands, we take from them, we walk on them, we dig them up and we encroach around their edge. The trick is, to do this wisely.
