WetlandCare Australia is independent of all Australian and overseas organisations. WetlandCare Australia has a board of up to twelve directors who fulfill their role on a voluntary basis. WetlandCare Australia's directors have broad experience, bridging wetland management, conservation and administration. There are currently eight Directors (at January 2008).

Rebecca Lines-Kelly, Secretary

Rebecca Lines-Kelly is an environmental communicator with NSW Dept of Primary Industries, based at Wollongbar on the NSW north coast. She has many years experience in communication, and is particularly interested in helping integrate natural resource management and agricultural production.

Mike Ronan, Vice Chair
With a diverse background in chartered accounting, management consulting, environmental science and coastal and marine natural resource management, Anissa has over 18 years experience in managing people, projects and businesses.
A core driver for Anissa is to develop, implement and communicate sustainable, workable solutions to environmental problems for coastal and marine natural resources, in particular fisheries and aquatic habitats. As an experienced environmental communicator she also strives to facilitate government, corporate, industry and community action to understand and manage business, social and environmental risks to achieve sustainable behaviour, particularly in relation to coastal and marine issues.
Prior to commencing her own consulting business, Anissa spent 5 years as the Chief Executive Officer for OceanWatch Australia, a national environmental not for profit company that works to achieve sustainability in the Australian seafood industry.
Prior to that she held senior positions in a number of leading international consulting and professional services firms.

Dr Nias is a Senior Project Officer of the NSW Murray Wetlands Working Group. Originally from SA, Deborah completed a PhD in floodplain wetland ecology at Monash University in 2000 and is now involved in wetland management through NSW Murray Valley. She has developed the Darling Anabranch Management Plan whilst working in Buronga NSW and has been working with the NSW Murray Wetlands Working Group for the past 4 years, based in Albury.
Her work involves managing 32,000 ML of Adaptive Environmental Water on behalf of the NSW Government; developing Wetland Management Plans; implementing on-ground works - particularly on private property. My personal duties include managing the MWWG Program and Strategic Direction, managing staff, budgets and other Executive duties to the group.

Alison Crook

Alison is currently the Managing Director of Waterview Consulting Pty Ltd, working with all aspects of organisational change. She is also Deputy Chair of Australian Volunteers International, and of Suters Architects Pty Ltd and a trustee of the Gordon Darling Foundation. Previous positions held include Deputy Vice Chancellor Resources, Monash University, Executive Director Operations, Serco Asia Pacific, Director General State and Regional Development NSW, and State Librarian NSW.

Between 1997-2009 held positions of Chair, Secretary, Director and CEO. Manager, Conservation Action Unit industry and Investment NSW, active campaigner and driving force for improved wetland and fishery habitat management, initiated the major changes to coastal floodplain management in Australia with active management of floodgates.
