Fishers For Conservation Inc. (FFC)
Fishers For Conservation Inc. (FFC) is an Australian based non-profit incorporated association educating, supporting and representing recreational and other fishers/ aquatic conservationists. We support conservation and ecologically based management of the coastal, marine and freshwater environments. Fishing and aquatic environment conservation can co-exist and to achieve this fishers must adopt sustainable and ecologically based practices and attitudes. Gecko - Gold Coast and Hinterland Environment Council Assoc. Inc.
Gecko is the peak regional environment group, a non-profit, non-party-political, volunteer organisation. They actively promote, conserve and restore the natural environment of the Gold Coast region in partnership with our Member Groups and the wider community.

Landcare
Landcare is a voluntary community group movement that aims to improve natural resource management, with around 4,000 groups operating nationally. Landcare operates largely in rural Australia, involving 40 percent of farmers, who manage 60 percent of land and 70 percent of the nation's diverted water.
LandCare Australia
Landcare Australia Ltd (LAL) was formed as a not-for-profit company on 10 October 1989. LAL was established as part of the Decade of Landcare to raise awareness and corporate sponsorship for landcarers.
Nature Conservation Council
The Nature Conservation Council of NSW (NCC) is the peak umbrella organisation for over 100 conservation and environment groups in New South Wales, Australia. Collectively working on a huge range of conservation issues in NSW. A lot of information on wetlands and general conservation issues, good no-nonsense viewpoint.
NSW Murray Wetlands Working Group
The NSW Murray Wetlands Working Group rehabilitates degraded wetlands and improves the management of wetlands throughout the River Murray and Lower Darling catchments in New South Wales by linking community involvement and best scientific understanding.
The Wetlands Centre
The Wetlands Centre is the lower Hunter Valley's first successful wetland rehabilitation project, paving the way for three other significant wetland projects in the ensuing years. The Wetlands Centre is modelled on and assisted by the famous Slimbridge in the UK, and is Australia's only dedicated Wetlands Centre managed by a community organisation.

The Wilderness Society is a national, community-based, environmental advocacy organisation whose mission is to protect, promote and secure the future of wilderness and other high conservation areas. Particularly strong on forest issues.
Wilsons Creek Huonbrook Landcare Website
Wilsons Creek Huonbrook Landcare Group is represented by a group of landholders who have made a commitment to repairing and enhancing the natural landscape in the Wilsons Creek, Huonbrook and Wanganui valleys within the Byron Bay Hinterland of Northern New South Wales. The valleys contain 50% of the remaining rainforest within the Byron Bay Shire (Byron Flora & Fauna Study 1999). The group is a not-for-profit organisation and is affiliated with Richmond Landcare Incorporated.

This site is designed to help people with an interest in the conservation and wise use of wetlands to access information and seek out programs and organisations that offer expertise and help in this field.
