WetlandCare Australia hosted South African visitors; Stefan Kruger and Don Cater of Eastern Wetland Rehabilitation this week.
Stefan and Don are touring Australia looking at our technologies and methodologies in wetland rehabilitation and management. They spent monday and tuesday this week with WetlandCare Australia staff; Bob Smith, Adam Gosling, Garry Owers, Alan Cibilic and Cassie Price experiencing some of our wetland rehabilitation sites in the Richmond and Clarence catchments.
Stefan and Don were particularly interested in Australia's use of floodgate structures and fish passage devices/structures. They will take these designs and experiences back to use in the South African wetland rehabilitation projects.
